Full question:

Could I turn a changing table into a desk?

My answer:

I see two challenges with this project:

1. The height of a changing table is much higher because people stand at it to use it, than a desk, where people sit at it. You could fix this by either getting a tall chair like a bar stool, or by sawing off the bottom to make it the proper height.

2. The shelves would leave no place for legs when sitting at it. You’d have to saw the shelves off in such a way as to leave leg room. Maybe cut the center “third” out of both shelves and brace the shelves with wood sides.

And not so tough but something you’d want to fix - the rail around the top would get in your way when using the desk. So maybe take it off completely. I kinda like it and would probably just take of the front and leave the other three sides on.
