Full question:

Do you have any creative ideas on how to decorate a baby boy’s nursery in an alphabet theme? What things could I make? The room is light blue and probably will stay that color. It’s also not very big so everything should be multifuntional if possible.

You are so incredibly talented and thrifty, I know you can help!

Thanks.

Jeanne

My answer:

You can do LOTS of things with alphabet blocks. You can:

* Use them to spell out the child’s name

* Stack and glue them together to make bookends

* Use them to make a chair rail or wall border

* Paint a family tree on a wall and use them to spell out everyone’s name

* Find sayings that you like, and use blocks to write out the words

* Glue them to the end of the curtain rod or attach them to tie backs

* Cover boxes with them to create extra storage

* Accent a lamp and/or lampshade with them

Also, I saw large alphabet letters in the scrapbook supply store that can be placed on walls, doors and ceilings, and “supposedly” can be peeled off without harming the are underneath them.

You’ll have fun doing this room!
