Full question:
How do I remove candle wax from candle sticks?
My answer:
Put the candleholders in the freezer. I always leave them in overnight, but I’m sure you don’t have to leave them that long. Then, if the wax doesn’t just pop out (most of mine did), I used a spoon or knife tip to break the frozen wax into pieces and it came right out. The biggest challenge were candleholders that had a bigger base where wax could pool, than the top opening, but even those I have been able to empty. Now if I can just figure out how to get a MARBLE out of the base of one of mine!

Nancy,
To get that marble out of your candle stick try this: run icy cold water into the candle stick(on the marble) let sit for minute or so then with cold water still in it run warm(almost hot) water over bottom part of candle stick. If the candle stick is not glass you can probably use hot water. The cold water will “shrink” the marble slightly and the hot water will expand the stick slightly and then the marble should fall right out. I use this method when I have glasses or glass bowls stuck together. Good luck.

I have also let almost hot water run over my candle sticks for a few minutews to remove the wax. The water just melts it out and then candlestick can be washed or wiped with paper towel. I usually try to spray the inside of candle sticks with silicone spray so the wax won’t adhere so much to the stick.
Good luck,
Sue
