Full Question:
I painted my hall purple and want to lighten it up a bit. Is there any way I can do that? Maybe sponge white over it? Please help. Thanks.
Jess
My Answer:
You’re in luck! There are a LOT of options for you here. You can do the following with any color paint you want - white would work, a lighter purple, or even a contrasting or complimentary color would all work. White would definitely lighten the wall up, though.
1. Use a feather duster dipped in paint and lightly dab it all over the wall.
2. Make a ball out of rags, dip it lightly in paint, and dab it on the wall.
3. Use crinkled up paper the same way as above.
4. A sponge lightly dipped in paint works the same way.
5. As does any kind of stamp - large scrapbooking stamps work really well.
Enjoy and tell me how you make out!
