So, what is your favorite holiday decorating tip, idea or project?
My answer:
At this moment, it’s my Christmas trees. I have lots of them - at least one for every room in the house except the bathrooms at this moment. At this point, I have the following tree themes:
* Blue and Silver tree - decorated with blue lights, blue ornaments and pieces of silver - trays, sugar bowl and creamers, demi cups, etc.
* Cooking tree - decorated with wooden spoons, bowls, recipe cards, and bears I made chef hats for
* Dated ornament tree - dated ornaments for each year since 1977
* Fruit tree trio - 3 small trees decorated with faux oranges, apples and real dried slices of both
* Grinch tree - everything Grinch
* Homespun tree - all sorts of country ornaments - especially handmade things
* Music tree - rolled sheet music and musical instruments
* Pocket watch tree - new last year and just getting started. Currently covered with small pocket watch ornaments
* This year’s new tree - Purple and Red - very dramatic combination - done in red and purple poinsettias, red grapes and large purple balls
* Rudolf tree - covered in everything Rudolf
* And last, but not least (this is one of my favorites) - the Vintage Tree - covered in old ornaments of all kinds
