What kind of things are you doing or plan on doing for this Valentine’s Day?
My answer:
Geez, it’s going to be here before I’m ready. But I HOPE to:
1. Hang all the heart-shaped cookie cutters that I have from red ribbons off the light/ceiling fan in the diningroom (I so dislike that thing and someday it will magically transform itself into a chandelier. Until then…. Sigh…..)
2. Bake brownies and cut them into heart shapes.
3. The dinningroom tablescape is the following right now:
In the center is a white cake plate. In the center of that is a white milk glass bowl. I put a small bowl upside down in it and stood a white pillar candle on that. I filled in the area around the candle with snow frosted green grapes and tucked white snowflakes in around that. I filled in around the base of the milkglass bowl on top of the cake plate with strings of white pearls.
On either side of that are two clear cake plates. On top of each of those are more strings of pearls. I put more snowfrosted green grapes INSIDE the domes of two cheese plates and put those on top of the pearls. I then tied two snowflakes to each knob of the domes.
I tell you ALL of this to say that I’ll be tucking photocopies of olde tyme valentines in and around these. Phew!
4. Then, the meal will be all red food.
